Air Services To Continue As Usual

CLIPPER DELAYED BY 'BAD WEATHER

The air mail and passenger ser- vices of Pan American Airways and Imperial Airways in and out of Hongkong will continne as per time table.

The Pan Américan Airways' China Clipper due in the Colony last Wednesday, has been delayed in Guam owing to adverse weather conditions. It is expected that the Clipper will arrive in Hongkong on Sunday and depart on Monday for San Francisco. However, if weather continues to delay the Clipper, it will return to the United States from Manila,

The Philippine Clipper, of Pan American Airways, dua next Wed- nasday is 24 hours late, owing to bad weather, and will not arrive here before Thursday. The return fight will be on Friday morning with passengers and mall..

AN ASSURANCE

Officials of Pan American Air- ways wish to assure the Colony that their flying-boats will con- tinue to call at this port under any political conditions unless they are uthorized otherwise by the United States Government.

Two Imperial Airways' planes departed from Kal Tak yesterday. on their regular week-end fight to Bangkok. Mall and passengers were carried on this service, and another to Calcutta yia Bangkok, will leave Kal Takton Sunday

morning.

The usual service or Imperial Airwaya will continue as formerly.

NEW PROCEDURE ANNOUNCED

It is notified for the informA - tion of Intending passangers to ports requiring certificates of smallpox vaccination that, mainly for their conveniences, a new form of vaccination -- certificate is to be introduced as fram Friday, Sept. 1, 1949.
