By A Home Correspondent

LONDON, June 5-The West Indies team won their match at Lord's yesterday so easily that the sharp edge which topped off the collective head of Middlesex was perhaps not quite "appre-" ciated. If ever a team did obligingly place their necks, one after the other, on the exact centre of the block it was Middlesex; that always with the exception of the Rev. E. T. Killick, who explained, what all the others should know, that on a fast wicket it is best to play forward. No one else seemed to agree with him, and so at 10 minutes past 1 the West Indies had won by ari innings and 228 runs.
