LAST MATCH OF

THE SEASON

Charity Game At Caroline Hill

S.C.A.A. DEFEAT

ASSOCIATION

Playing in their last match prior

to departure this week for the South

China Seas, the South Athletic Association defeated a Association Hongkong Football

team by three goals to mil in a scrappy charity football match at Caroline Hil yesterday.

The rain during the past few days rendered the ground slippery

and the players found the going uncomfortable.

..

A fairly large crowd turned out to see Lee Wal-tong lead the Chinese attack. Although he play- ed well, he did not score.

Mak Shlu-hon, made a welcome return to his position at right back after several weeks absence owing to an injury.

In the Association team. Dixon, of the Navy, turned out at centre half. No fewer than seven Chinese

players were included in the new ine-up. Dickerson, in goal, played exceptionally well, bringing off many brilliant saves.

FUNG SCORES

In the first half the Chinese took the lead when Fung headed in a perfectly placed corner kick by Tang Kwong-sum, and before half-time Fung found the net dur- ing a melee in front of the Asso- ciation's citadel.
