FILM PART FOR CHINA'S FOREMOST

Reports reaching Hongkong from Hollywood confirm that China's foremost avlatrix, Miss Lee Ya Ching, was signed up for a COM- tmct with one of the leading mov- ing picture firms for a film in which she appears with Miss Dorothy Lamour.

Before commencing work on the film Miss Lee made a tour of the " biggest cities in the United States and left. New York on March. 20. She landed her plane in Miami on the Apr 17 and later visited the capitals of the Southern States.

Miss Lee began her flying in 1935 and qualified for her pilot's licence in Switzerland. She also holds American and Hongkong licences, A popular member of the Shanghai younger set, Miss Lee's ambition is to fly's fighting plane against the Japanese. Her war work has in- cluded the organization of the 24th Red Cross Branch Bospital in Shanghai.
