In comparison with Saturday's closing quotations the market opened with prices unchanged for forward deliveries, but 1/8 of a cent higher for "spot."
Early in the session the market was dull and idle in the absence of any speculative interest, whilst there was a fair demand for "ac- tuals" in evidence.
Subsequently, however, dealers and speculators displayed good buying interest for futures, which was responsible for prices gradually advancing by 1/4 "cent for all' options, the market closing with a steady undertone.

In well informed quarters the opinion prevails that prices will move within a moderate trading range for the time being, whilst subsequently a steadily rising tendency may be expected in sym- pathy with anticipated further business-expansion, particularly in US.A., unless this development will be retarded by unforeseen outside influences
