MEXICO CITY, Mar. 15 (Reuter) -Mr, Richberg, of the Standard Oil Company, had a one and a half hours discussion - with President Cardenas to-day, when important points were covered. The discussion was then adjourned unti to. morrow.

Mr. Richberg stated that if conclusions were reached within the next two days, he would make a statement to end many of the unfounded rumours. He expects to leave for Washington next week. but, if necessary, will return to

Mexico.

Early in the morning the market displayed a quiet and duli un- ́dertone." with" orly a moderate demand for "actuals” being in evidence. Dealers, and "speculators did not show any buying interest in futures. the market being adversely affected by the European political situation.

Later in the session the market became easier, prices declining by 1/8 cent for all deliveries due to speculative selling. However, dur- ing the last trading hour the lower level of prices attracting buying interest resulting in a price advance of 1/8 cent for all deliveries,

After ruling easy, the market became steady on trade buying. Business small

Rubber stocks held in the United Kingdom showed a decrease of 67 tons for the week ending March 13, 1939.

NEW YORK COTTON

The market opened fairly steady on higher Liverpool cables, to- however, values gether with "spot" house and trade buying. Later. reacted under liquidation and scattered selling. At the close, the market was barely steady, with prices at around the lowest levels for the day.

NEW YORK RUBBER

The market was neglected and declined slightly owing to lack of support. The statistical position is still favourable, with February consumption well above the same month of last year. To-day's dull- ness was mainly due to lack of outside interest.

CHICAGO WHEAT

Prices continued to decline on slow export demand. The weak- ness of foreign markets had an adverse influence. '
