Three Matches Arranged For Club Ground

THE VISITING MALAYA RUGBY UNION-TEAM will play 'a series of three matches in the Colony the first one being against the Club on the Club ground, Happy Valley, on Saturday at 4 p.m. Malaya will meet the Navy on Tuesday on the game ground at 1.30 p.m. while on Saturday, February 11, at 4 p.m. the visitors will be opposed to the Colony TV on the Valley ground.

Admission will be $1.50 (covered stand) and 50 cents (open stand); Servicemen in uniform half price. A section of the covered stand will be reserved for members.

CHANGTEH, Jan. 30 (Cen- tral)-Severe encounters on the Kingshan-Trapshih section of the Hankow-Ichang highway, which featured the fighting on. the north Hupeh front during the last week, began again to quieten down with stout Chi- nese resistance coupled with mobile tactics which have tired out enemy movements, Kingshan, strategic town 90 miles northwest of Hankow, which was several times in critical con- dition during the Japanese attacks, remains in Chinese hands after many days' uncertainty
