(Continued from Page 1). There can be no doubt that the Hongkong S.P.C., after nine years of hard work, has established for itself an essencial place in the sociological life of the Colony.
In its first complete working year y (1930-31), the number of new cases dealt with was 333; the number Tose to 881 in the following year, and went on increasing from year to year uni it stands to-day at over 2,000. During the past year, 53,383 visits were paid Centres by parents and others con- cerned with the cases, and 4,240 visits to homes by our inspectors.

The reasons given for these two centres are cogent; the only trouble is that they would cost about $10,000 a year. To me,' this sum is by no means too large for the good that it can do. Week-end Rifle Shooting
At Stonecutters
Weather conditions were ideal for, rifle shooting on Saturday last at Stonecutters Rifle Range, and in spite of a falling light at 600 yards, which caused a little trouble to several marksmen, some very good scores were registered.
Foremost of these was P.O. SHcock in the S.R. (b) Class with a score of 98, and P.O. Richards in the S.R. (a) Class, with a score of 94.
