KEEN EVENT PROMISED
BY · LAST QUARTER
The penultimate meeting of the year under the auspices of the Hongkong Jockey Club takes place to-morrow afternoon at Happy Valley and consists entirely of handicap events; the main attraction being the St. Andrew's Stakes över one and a half miles. Entries for the meeting have been very encouraging and in most events the entire entrants will probably go to the post.
A tally representative lot of "B" Class China pontes will be saddled for the St. Andrew's Stakes and an exceptionally keen race is anticipated. The Cramond 'Brig' Handicap for "A" Class Australian pontes is another event that should produce an excellent finish. Be- ing only, a sprint race of approximately ave furlongs, the start wall ban important factor and punters are advised to make a careful study of the draw for positions at the barrier before placing their
