carpenter employed by

Below will be found the League tables, brought up to date, of Leung Fat Lee Contractors, at the Home football competitions. Latest standings are as follows:- present working at Mount Davis Fort.

ROBBED OF MONEY About 9 p.m. on October 10 Leung was walking along Kennedy Town Praya when he was sud- denly seized from behind, Turn- blow ing round," he received a which was alleged to have been struck.. by second defendant. First defendant was alleged to have searched him and taken $6 from a purse.

After the men had run away he went

contractors" back to his shed and told them what had happened and a report was even- tually made to the police.

On the following day an identification parade Was held at Mount Davis Fort, at which all the men were mus- tered. First defendant was picked out but not second do- fendant. Following inquiries, the second man was arrested later the same evening.

It was alleged that second de- fendant spoke to Gunner Baxter earlier on the day of his arrest and told him he had held up & Chinese male. It was further alleged that he told Gunner Toves the same.

CORROBORATIVE EVIDENCE "Evidence of preparing plans of the locality was given by Mr. G. H. Gandy of the Pubile Works Leung Ting gave Department.

the testimony corroborating Crown's opening: Mr. H. W.- E. Heath. Assistant Superintenden:

of Police, testified to the identi fication parade.

Five men of the Royal Artillery evidence. and Sergeant gave

Allen concluded the Crown's case by testifying to the arrest of the defendants.

Having been cautioned. Phelan was asked if he wished to say anything.

Defendant: No Sir.

His Worship: You have nothing to say, or you wish to reserve your defence? Nothing, Bir.

Your wish me to put down I have nothing to say'?-No, Br. guity. I am guilty of the charge, You wish me to put that down? -Yes, Str.

Second defendant said he had nothing to say.

SENIOR LEAGUE

TEAMS

(Continued from Page 10)

match and had 25 goals regis- tered against them

It was the Arst game played on the new ground at Boundary Road and the Police certainly christened it in bright manner with a four- nii victory over the Saints. In the course of the game, J. Perciza, of St. Joseph's. had the misfortune to fall when heading the ball and, I believe, fractured his arm.

To-morrow's programme is

interesting

The big match is at Sookunpoo where Middlesex, who had a "rest" last week-end meet South China "B" at 4.15 p. The soldiers should take the points although a close match is indicated.

The Royal Scots. travel to Caro- Jine Hill where they will be op- posed to St. Joseph's and will pro- bably drive home the issue with an odd-goal. The Saints, who have done rather well this season, suí- fered a bad reverse at the hands of the custodians of the law last week

The railway ground will be the venue for the meeting be- tween Kowloon and the Police and here another closé game should be seen.

The Police. with new blood among their numbers, will be a force to contend wtih but I think Kowloon will take full points and will probably field the same team that beat South China "B",

Much interest will centre on the Club v. Kwong Wah encounter at Happy Valley and in view of the Valley team's big win last Satur- day against the Royal Scots in- dications point to a win for them although Kwong Wah will give the Club a very good run. Much will depend on whether Fowler. leader of the Club attack, will again strike form as deadly as last Saturday.

On the same ground on Sunday, Navy will come up against Eastern.. The sallora, who lost their proud 100 per cent record to South China "A" after a thrilling. match at Caroline Hill last, Batur- day, will probably beat Eastern providing they return to their short-paming tactics which was mainly instrumental for the Navy's defeat of South China ARDEL Causeway Bay, a few weeks ago.
