The London-New York cross-rate- was quoted at 475.31. New York- London was quotad at 475. 7/16.

Japan at a meeting to be held by

the International Copyright Iki- perta Committes in Paris about the middle of this month.

It is contended that European and Oriental languages are entirely different in origin and structure. Professor Kenzo Takayanagi, now staying at London, will represent Japan at the meeting. The claim is based on a proposal adopted by Japan's Copyright Council.
