Funeral Of Naval Artificer

HERBERT SANDERS

The funeral of Herbert Sanders, Engine Room Artificer of HMS. Regent, who died at the Naval Hospital" on Tuesday after a short illness, took place yesterday at the Colonial Cemetery. The Rev. W. J. Williams, Chaplain of EMS. Medway, officiated at the grave side.

The deceased, who was a native of Stamford, Lancashire, came to the Colony with H.M.S. Regent nearly a year age.

The cortege was led by a band of Royal Marines from H.M.S. Dorsetshire uld the coffin was borne by gun carriage, attended by a gun crew from H.M.S. Daring. At the graveside three volleys were fired by a fring party' of seamen drawn
