Nearly 1,250,000 people have been rendered homeless and desti- tute by the Yellow River, flood which has inundated 15 districts, with an aggregate area of 23,279 square il, and caused damage to property amounting to $33,244,000, according to reliable figures.
The 1.227,000 refugees are from the following districts: Chengchow. 85,000: Chungmow. 98,300; Yushih, 159,000; Kaifeng 80.000: Tangsu, 90.000; Fukaw. 200.000; Tenling. 37,000: Sihwa, 117.000; Luyl. 80,000: Talkang. 65.000; Twalyang, unknown; Cheniju, 34,000; Shenkiu, 90,000; Chihslen. 90,000; and Kwangwu, 2,000.
