Mrs. D. C. Edmonston, wife of the Acting Chief Manager of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, performed the chris- tening ceremony at the launching of the motor, vessel, Governor Wright, at Messrs. W. S. Bailey and Company's yard at Bunghom yes- terday morning.

Built to the order of La Naviera | E. Dudley, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Jack- Filipina Inc., of Cebu, the vessel is son, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. R. James, 154 feet in length, 28 feet in Mr. and Mrs. J. Randle, Mr. and breadth and has a depth moulded Mrs. J. M. Jack, Mr. and Mrs. and Mrs. Mackenzie of 11 feet and 8 inches. She is Pearce. Mr. propelled by a Deutz Diesel motor and Mr. and Mrs. McIntyre. of 575 horsepower, and is fitted with electric winches and Windlass. Passenger accommodation is provided on the Shade Deck and the Navigating Bridge Deck.

The vessel is built under Lloyd's Survey Class 100 A1.

RECEPTION HELD

After the ceremony, a reception was held and toasts to the suc cess of the vessel and her owners were proposed by Mr. A. A. Dand, manager of Balley's, and responded to by Mr. M. E. Cleland Jr., super- intendent for the ownera.

Mr. Dand then presented Mr Edmonston with a crystal bowl as. s memento of the occasion.
