FURTHER PROTEST OVER EXTRADITION OF CHINESE

Dr. Chu Chia-hua, Chairman of the China League of Nations Union, has wired to Mr. Nelson T. Johnson, American Ambassador to China, and Mr. Stirling Fessenden. Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal Council, requesting them to take immediate steps to prevent the handing over of Chinese patriots arrested in the International Settlement in Shanghai to the Japanese military! Dr Chu points out that such action is not only In contravention of the Mixed Court Rendition Agreement of 1930, which states that any person arrested by the S.M.C. must be brought brat to the Special District Court within 24 hours, but als against the principle of humanity.(Central News).
