The town of Loughrea, Galway. has been sold by the Earl of Harewood to the tenants on terms of 10 years' purchase and cancellation of rent arrears.""
The tenants owe an average of two years' rent, so that the hasis of settlement is nearly eight years' purchase, Negotiations have been in progress for, some time.
