The Sassoon entries have been a trifle disappointing as Handicap Eve does not seem the least in- terested the daily morning work while Harmony Eve and Half Moon Eve have not quite come up to expectations. These latter two have done several fast gallops but the finishes have not too impressive. "However, they are no means out of the run- ning as both these ponies are highly considered and reputed smashers, and may show such a distinct Improvement in the next two weeks that I may have occa- slon, to alter my opinion. I have a great respect for this stable as they have produced champions in the past and may have yet a trump card to be played.
