Hong Kong Cricket Club beat the Royal Navy by the very close mar gin of eight runs on Saturday to win the Triangular Cricket Tourna- ment. Compared to the previous matches it was a game of "low scores, the outstanding batting performance being a great fighting innings of 77, by Captain Whit- marsh in the Navy's total of 148. John Pearce probably won the game for the Club when he bowled Whitmarsh but R. D. Allen, the Visitor from Penang, put in the finishing touches, getting the last 1our wickets to fall in a fine plece of bowling that-read: 9-1-15-4.

Owen-Hughes was top-scorer for the winners with 48, and took part In a sixth wicket partnership of 54 with McLellan, whose 45 included a six.
