The annual celebration of Rizal Day took the form of a luncheon, concert and dance at the Peninsula Hotel yesterday, when the local Filipino community foregathered to honour the memory of their national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. The function, which was extremely en- joyable, was a splendid tribute to the traditional friendliness and hospitality of the Filipino people. no pains being spared by the Committee in charge to enliven the proceedings and make the guests feel well at home.
