Too Late When War Comes
A warning that if war should- come there would be no time to prepare was given recently by Field-Marshal Sir Cyril J. Deverell, Chief of the Imperial Staff,
Sir Cyril was distributing the King's and other prizs, at Guildhall, to winners in the competitions of the National Artillery Association.
The War Office, authorities, he said, were satisded that as soon as the coast defence units of the Territorial Army understood what was expected of them they would prove worthy of their trust.
There was room for improvement, especially in tactics, but he could
assure them that they had the confidence of the Army Council.
