ENJOYABLE MATCH

The annual Lawn Bowls match between St. Andrew's Society and St. George's Society took place at the Kowloon Bowling Green Club

St. An- on Saturday afternoon. drew's won by 135 shots to 100.

At the conclusion of the match, Mr. G. S. Archbutt, President of St. George's Society, expressed his gratitude to the President, Com- mittee and members of the Bowl- ing Green Club for allowing the Societies to use their greens, and o the many ladies who watched the match for gracing the event with their presence. Mr. Archbutt declared that whoever was respon- le for the greens ahould certain- be congratulated on their con- Jition. He then called upon his wife to present spoons to the Scottish rinks.

Sir Atholl MacGregor. Chieftain ot St. Andrew's, expressed thanks to the Club and to the fadles, and endorsed the remarks on the con- dition of the green.

Sir Atholl called upon Mrs. A. Stevenson, wife of a past Chieftain. to present the St. Andrew's spoons to the St. George's players.

After this. Sir Atholl presented Mr. J. Henson, the refreshments convener, with a spoon as a tribute to his excellent arrangements, and called for three cheers for Mrs. Archbutt and Mrs. Stevenson.

Bouquets were presented to Mrs. Archbutt and Mrs. Stevenson by the little Misses Kathleen Hyde- Lay and Madeline Archbutt, respec- tively.
