OFFICIAL QUOTATIONS

The usual listing of shares was resumed as from to-day, the last of the weekly period under review. The market during this period was notably steady subsequent to 31 06% the successful negotiation of the $106 September Settlement, a lack of $101 sellers became apparent, at the same time ELS buyers shewed greater interest as a result of the lower level of prices ruling. The market has continued narrow, but less so than previously and there has been a certain increase in turnover at advancing prices.

Investments have found better support. but by comparison in- tcrest in the speculative section has been keener.

The prices listed below represent an appreclable improvement on the lowest negotiated.
