GERMAN ARMY MANOEUVRES

Berlin, Sept. 4.

It is announced that important Autumn manoeuvres of the Ger- man Defence Forces will take place within the next few weeks, mainly in Pomerania and Meck-

lenburg and also in the Baltic

Sea.

It is stressed here that whereas milltary exercises on a large scale have not taken place at all, and manoeuvres within the Unit of a few army corps only once-in the autumn of last year-since the be- ginning of the reconstruction of the new German defence forces, the autumn manoeuvres this year will attain the proportions of "manoeuvres of the total defence forces"
