OIL INDUSTRY IN CANADA
Nearly 72 per cent, of the crude oil used in the refineries of Canada during 1935, the latest year for which complete figures are avall. able, was imported from the United States. according to a summary isaued from the Hign Commission- er's Office in London, only 3.4 per cent of the total consumption benig derived from Canadian wells. The quantity of petrol produced In that year, 514 million gallons, was the highest on record. being 11 per cent, greater than the output in 1934, and twice the production recorded in 1927.
