Paymaster Captain D. S. Lam bert, OBE, whose appointment to the President for service in the Admiralty has been announced, is to take up the post of Assistant to the Paymaster Director-General, in succession to Paymaster Captain C. E. Ayre, O.BE
He was promoted in 1934, and up, to January last was paymaster captain at Shotley. Much of his post-War service has been spent in China, where he was fleet ac- countant officer in 1931-34. and formerly paymaster commander in the cruiser Vindictive. He ser ved in the Royal Canadian Navy throughout the War, having been lent as an assistant paymaster for duty in the cruiser Rainbow in July, 1914. "

Details of the fund for 1938 are now published in Fleet Orders, The amount subscribed was £3.- 150 and it has been distributed to 10 orphanages in various parts of the country on the basis of equal shares for each orphan of a naval

Rear Admiral Holt, who· 18 53, has had 37 years' naval service. He was promoted to flag rank last June and was in command of the Royal Naval College. Dartmouth, from 1934 to December, 1938. He was awarded the DAO., while serving in the Redoubt during the war in an action against an enemy submarine. and received the M.V.Q., in 1923 after commanding
the destroyer Vesper in attendance on King George V's yacht Bri- tannia.
Rear Admiral Crabbe, who also holds the DS.O. and has the honours C.B. and CIE. has been at Shanghai since October, 1935.

Death After Brief Illness
The funeral took place yesterday of Mrs. Camilla Rocha, wife of Mr. Estylito Le Rocha of Yundantu, whose death occurred on Monday in the Kowloon Hospital after a brief illness. The remains were interred in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
The deceased lady was 38 years of age and is survived, in addition to her husband, by six children, the oldest of whom is Mr. L. Roclis connected with the United States Rubber Export Co.
The burial service was conducted by Rev. Fr. Maestrint and the chief mourners were deceased's children, brother Mr. C. Franco and Mrs.
