freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday, showed .* moderate tonnage movement.

The total wonnage of general cargo

carried by vessels to the Colony was 2,289 tons, with British steamers carrying 1117 tons, Through cargo for ports beyond the Colony amounted to 8349 tons, of which 4.186 were carried by British steamers. Asiatic deck passengers entering the Colony during the twenty-four hours ended at 9 am. yesterday were 2,668, of which 808 were from British steamers,

There were altogether eleven. arrivals, of which four were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the five departures. two were British ships. Particulars as fol- lows:-
