A man and a woman trying to hate while Aerce longing flames in their hearts is the thrilling theme of Twentieth Century-Fox'a amax- ing drama of savage passiona, "White Hunter," which has its run at the Queen's Theatre to-day.

Warner Baxter and June Lang. who created such a sensation in "The Road to Glory" are brilliantly cast in a drama even stranger, a romance even greater, the most stirring adventure a man and wo- man ever shared.

Assisting the star is an excellent and impressive cast beaded by Gall Patrick, Allsen Skipworth, Wilfrid Lawson, and George Hassell

Baxter is seen as a colourful hunter who accepts a commission to guide a big game expedition through a strangely wild country.. Included in the party are Wilfrid Lawson, a powerful munition magnate, Gail Patrick, his way- ward wife, and lovely June Lang his daughter by a former marri- age, Alison Skipworth a shrewish hypochondriac and George Hassell her hen-pecked spouse.

LOVE LETTERS OF A STAR

Suspense, mystery and excite- ment mark the theme of the thrill- ing Universal picture, "Love Letters of a Star," which has its run at the Alhambra Theatre, to-day. The offering is based on a Crime Club novel that first ran in the Cosmo- politan Magazine under the title, "Case of the Constant God." It was written by the master of detec- tive fiction, Rufus King."

The narrative reveals what happens in the lives of a wealthy family when the schemes of a blackmaller almost destroy their happiness. The conniving leech is killed under circumstances which throw suspicion on the victims of his plot, since one of the daughters has been driven to suicide by his threats. The marriage of another daughter is almost ruined by fur- ther blackmail.

Brilliant detective work, some of the keenest ever presented on the screen, is developed in the offering, leading to a surprise climax of dramatic force." The ablation of the mystery is kept hidden until the end of the Alm.

The following statements were obtained from Dominion and Colonial offices in London: Australia.—There will, probably be a special issue, but no oficial in- formation has been received. Nauru-There will be a Coronation

issue in 14d., 2fd. and is.. Canada-The ordinary issue of George VI. will be on sale on April 1 in 1 cent green, two cent brown, and three cent red, de- pleting the King's head. Canada thus will probably score over the Mother Country and all other Dominions in being the first to Issue stamps of the new reign. Designs have been approved but have not yet reached this coun- try. The special laque will be on sale for only a few weeks, and will not be issued after the Coronation. India.No news has been received of a special Issue. There is a possibility that there will be no commemorative issue until the Durbar in 1938. Southern Rhodesla.-Preparations are complete for an issue of 1d. and 8d., showing the heads of the King and Queen (side face) on either side of a picture of the Victoria Falls with a train cross- ing the bridge. New Zealand--The Coronation 19- sue of id., 24d. and ed, will be a design incorporating the heads of the King and Queen and the coat of arms of the Dominion, The stamps will be in carmine, dark blue and vermilion, respectively.
