Disappointing results for the past year were reported by Mr. F. J. Gellion when he presided at the 26th annual meeting of the Macao Electric Company Limited held at the offices of Messrs. Lowe, Bingham and Matthews, yesterday morning.

Present were:- Messrs. N. G. Beale and Wong Yu Chiu (Direct tors), G. G. N. Tinson (represent ing the Secretaries) and the fol- following shareholders:—A. B. Raworth and J. "Fleming.

Mr. G. G. N. Tinson read the notice convening the meeting.

The Chairman said:--

The net profit, providing for depreciation amounting to $91- 645.99, is $66,046.12, which together with $115,582.60 brought forward from last year, we have $181,628.72 for appropriation. With this, your Directors propose to pay a divi dend of $1 per share, absorbing $90,000.00, to pay to the Macao au- thorities 6 per cent of the divi- dend paid (as per Article 15 of our Contract) which amounts to $4,500, and to carry forward to
