CONSIDERABLE INCREASE OVER LAST YEAR

New Construction Announced

The Navy estimates insued to-day" amount to £105,065,000 which represents an excess of £23,776,000 over last year's es- timates including supplementaries.

Of this total £27,000,000 will be provided by loan under the Defence Loans Bill, leaving £78,065,000 to be met by taxation, compared with £81,289,000 last year.

New construction will consist of three battleships, two air craft
