Membership grew with a rapidity. that was amazing. Whereas in June 1935 the 11st boasted 20 names, this number grew to 469 by Decem- ber 31, 1938 and it is now over the 500 mark.

The first Annual Prie Meeting was held on, the Army ranges from April 36 to May 4, 1938 and proved an unqualified success. The Spoon

and Practice Shoots which are held regularly, are very popular and are always looked forward to by mem- bers

In November 1935, permission was given by the Council for the publication of a magazine, the The irst H.KRA "Bulletin,” number appeared at the end of that month, under the editorship and management of the Hon. Sec- retary, and it is worthy of record that the first ten numbers have re- sulted in a profit to the Associa tion of $898.38, assuming that all outstanding advertising accounts are paid,

The Year Book was published in August 1938 and coples were dis- tributed free to all members who were on the books of the Associa- tion on May 1, of that year. The first

annual dinner, held on December 16, 1935, was a distinct success.

The outstanding achievement of the period under review was the opening of the Clubhouse on the Army Ranges at Kowloon City by Mrs. A. W. Bartholomew, wife of the G.O.C., on December 16 last.

RANGE FACILITIES Up, to the end of 1936 the matter of range accommodation at week- ends was the most difficult matter with which the Council was con- fronted as the Kowloon Golf Club has the une of both ranges on Saturday afternoons and Sundays for golf.
