Insurgent Aircraft Activity

London, February 15.

Insurgent aircraft, which appeared to be a four-engined Junker with bombing gear, circled twice round His Majesty's destroyers Havock and Gypsy outside Spanlah territorial waters yesterday and dropped two 400-pound bombs and two 40-pound bombs without

The destroyers replied with warning shots and the aircraft proceeded towards the Balearic Islands. One of the destroyers was en route for Malta and other for Eastern Mediterranean. A protest was immediately lodged by the Consul at Palma and a formal protest will also be sent to the Salamanca authorities by the British Ambas- sador, Sir Henry Chilton-British Wireless.
