(BY LONGSHOREMAN). The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9 8.01. moderate yesterday, showed tonnage movement.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony Was 15,840 tops, with British steamers carrying 5,650 tans.

Through cargo for ports de yond the Colony amounted to 9.312 tons, of which 3,815 tons were carried by British steamers. Astatic deck passengers entering the Colony during the twenty-four hours ended at 9 a.m...yesterday were, 842, of which 548 were

from British steamers.

There were altogether twenty- three arrivals, of which 10 were of British

registry, the remainder

being of other nationalities, while of the fourteen departures, six were British ships. Particulars as fol- lows:- Nationality-
