Shanghai, Feb. 8. After weeks of fruitless discus- sion and parleys the vanguards of the Government troops entered Stanfu yesterday afternoon, ac- cording to Chinese press reports.
The main forces, however, are the waiting at Lintung until Shensi provincial troops evacuate the capital.
This they are at present pre- paring to do in spite of yesterday's announcement that they are not withdrawing any further.
Evidently the Bhensi leaders are not prepared to resist the pressure of the Government forces, which is being continued, relentlessly Reuter.
