Cricket, football, hockey, Rugby football and yachting. These are all included in the afternoon's spert programme for to-day and while the football matches will no doubt commmand the big- gest following. in view of the approaching Interport contact with Shanghal, the other games will not suffer any lack of sup- port and the Rugby match between the Club, winners of the Triangular Tournament, and the Unllad Bervices, serving as it does as dress rehearsal for the tugrer Interport, should- siso draw a capacity crowd of rugger enthusiasts.

Syria's Answer

Violent protests and threats of a general strike are Syria's answer to the Sanjak settlement reached at Geneva, according to reports here.

It is stated that a Syrian delega- tion consisting of the Premier, Jamil Bey and many prominent Syrians, will proceed to Paris and Geneva to prótest against the agreement between France and

An innovation will be introduced in the betting for the Annual Race Meeting 1937, in the form of a Forecast Pool, conditions of which are as follows:-- A Forecast Pool will be conducted on The Hong Kong Derby, on all entered ponies, whether they subsequently start or not. The Pool, less Government Betting Tax and Commission to the Club will be divided equally among the nominators who forecast the first three ponics past the post in the Hong Kong Derby, in the correct order.
