A feature of the week-end programme of League football matches was the meeting of South China “A” and the East Lan cashires at Sookunpoo yesterday afternoon. It was the military team's farewell match in the Colony and they lost by five goals to two after splendid encounter. The Chinese team, led by the redoubtable Lee Wai Tong, played inspired football.

At Caroline Hill a close match was witnessed between the Chinese Athletic and St. Joseph's, the former winning by the odd goal in five.

On the Club ground, the Kowloon Chinese and the Eastern shared the spoils each side finding the 'net once.

The surprise result of"Saturday's Oxtures WAS the Police drawing with the Fusiliers on the Kowloon F.C. ground.

The East Lanes made a farewell bow to local football, when they opposed South China "A" at Soo-Recreio kinpoo yesterday.. as expected the game proved a thrilling one with South China Tully deserving their win by 3 goals to 2. The game proved a personal triumph for Lee Wat Tong who completed a capital display by acoring a great goal. For the losers Sandford and Swain deserve mention, both work. ed very hard and were alwayk prominent.
