With picturesque and traditional ceremonial, the Coronation of King George the Bixth on May 12 was proclaimed at four points in Lon- don-at St. James's Palace, Charing Cross, at Temple Bar, and at the Royal Exchange.

The medieval pageantry which marked the proclamation of the King's Accession was repeated, and again there were large crowds at each of the four ceremonies.

From a draped balcony in Friary Court, St. James's Palace, Sir Ger- ald Wollaston, Garter Principal King of Arms, read the Proclama- tion "declaring Hin Majesty's plea- sure touching his Royal Coronation and the solemnity thereof."
