(BY LONGSHORKMAN). During the 24 hours ended at 9:00 am. yesterday, the freight returns, received from the Har-
tonnage movement, a large pro- bour Office, showed a very high
portion of which being made up by British ships.
The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony
13,949 tons. with British steamers carrying 3,059 tans.
Through cargo for ports-be- yond the Colony, amounted to 32,101 tons, of which 13,484 tons were carried by British steamers. Asiatic deck passengera entering Into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 am. yesterday were 1,989, of which 1,137 were from British steamers,
