"THE COMING
OF CHRIST
Christmas Play At The Cathedral
BRILLIANT.
PRODUCTION
The Christmas Play, Join Mane- feld's "The Coming of · Christ** was brilliantly presented and en- acted by an excellent group of anonymous players last night in which the St. John's Cathedral was filled with worshippers. There was a great deal of the music, which is by Gustav Hoist, and which formed an integral part of the play and its general setting. Poet and Musician have combined together to make a mystery play of rare beauty, which is in the tradi- tion of the old morality plays once commonly acted by travelling players in mediaeval England.
