Sydney, Dec. 19. Walls Hammond is still defeated and England have 426 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets. Hammond's share is 231, scored in 406 minutes and in- cluding 27 boundaries With Ames (29), he udded 104 for the fourth wicket.
