Freight And Asiatic Passengers Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN).

"The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 9.12. yesterday, showed & considerably high tannage movement; a large proportion of which being contri- buted by British and Norwegian ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony

WILS 15,119 tons, with British steamers carrying 1.837

tona.

Through Fond the

Cargo for ports be- Colony amounted to 27.000 tons, of which 7,827 tons were carried by British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday

were 1,835, of which 1,359 were from British steamers.
