Li Pak appeared on" remand un Saturday before Mr. W. Schofield at the Central Magistracy on three charges of embezzlement from the Hong Kong and New Territories Ferry Company. Lta.
Mr Peter H. Sin appeared for the complainant, Li Chung Po. manager of the company, Mr. Sin said that the company operated launces from Hong Kong to Cheung Chau and that defendant had been a compradore of the firm for seven spark. He rendered dally accounts of the revenue of the company, but on October 15, he presented a statement that was short by $10 of the real account. Similar discrepancies occurred on October 22 and October 24, for $10 and $5, respectively.

FORGERY OF DOCUMENT
Carpenter Bound Over
A 23-year old carpenter, Ny Nang, of Wanchal, was charged before Mr. W. Schofield at the Central Magistracy on Saturday, for the forgery of a public docu- ment. for which offence he was bound over.
Inspetor A. E. Carey prosecuted. On November 9, defendant was riding with Tse Fut in a truck, of which the latter was the driver. Tae tendered the forged docu- ment, which was a sand issue note issued by the "Public Works De- partment, and which showed an excess of load. This was an ap- parent effort to defraud or de- ceive the contractor's of a small sum of money.
Tse pleaded not guilty to the charge of uttering the pote as be had had no knowledge that it was forged. He was discharged from the court when Inspector Carey accepted his plea.
