CHAMPIONS DEFEAT
RECREIO
The Hong Kong Ladles beat St. Andrew's Ladies in a Caer Clark Cun. hockey match by two clear goals on the United Services Re- creation Club ground on Saturday.
St. Andrew's were, unlucky. The forwards were to blame; for oppor- tunities for them to score were by no means few.
11
The game was in progress about two minutes after the changeover when Miss P. Gitting went through on her own, and, drawing Miss J. Smalley out of the goal, falled to score. for she only had to tap the ball into the net.
The second "goal for the Hong Kong Ladies came from, Mrs. Här- rop, who scored with a rising shot.
After five minutes when the goals where scored, the Saints at tacked with a vengeance and only the brilliant work of Miss E. Grave and Miss J. Smalley kept them from, scoring.

romance progresses and then the hero accompanies Her- aholt to the jungle to trace the cause and nd a cure for fatal: spotted fever. Misunderstandings arise with complicated results.
The story has been placed in. two extremely interesting yet con- trasting settings-the gay, happy night Ufe of New York and the sordid and suffocating: heat of a dense South American Jungle.
In addition to the main attrac- tion, a splendid news-rect is shown depicting gruesome scenes in the Spanish revolution, & Pete Smith specialty wherein he describes polo in humourous vein, and an en- tertaining colour cartoon which is original to say, the very least.
