University Union Annual Dance

Conforming to the 'gaiety of the Colony's social season the Hong Kong University Union held one of their most successful annual dances on Saturday night.

The Great Hall of the University was gally decorated in festoons of papiere mache of the Varsity co- lours, and long before, the closing hour there was not even enough dancing room for the throng which packed the auditorium.

The slam of the University mingled with the undergraduates in the spirit of cameraderic. The Vice-Chancellar. Bir William Hor- nell,was present.

Light refreshments were served during the interval, after which Mickey's Melody Makers continued i to give of their best in the latest dance music of the day.

QUIET-WEDDING

A quiet wedding took place at the Rosary Church on Saturday afternoon, when Law Ming-sze was married to Miss Lau Kin-wan. Father H. de Angells officiating. The bridegroom, who resides at No. 312. Nathan Road, is a clerk attached to the Royal Naval Hos- pital.
