(BY LONGSHOREMAN). The freight returns received Trom the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9:00 am yesterday, showed a falfly high tonnage movement, a large pro- portion of which being contributed by British ships.

There were altogether fourteen arrivals, of which five were or British registry. the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the 17 departures, eleven were British ships, the rest being of other different countries, Par- ticulars as follows:-
