past year and the six months of this year among the suffering Poor of this Colony, the Council feels that it can again appeal with con- fidence to the generosity of the Hong Kong Public both on the decasion of our "Al Fresco® F'ete" which will be held in Kowloon on the vacant ground near Rosary Church, Chatham Road,, on Sunday.. day November 1st and the Street Sales of Roses on “Our Poof Day” on December 1st."

The Eociety depends almost en tirely on the success of these two public appeals for the maintenance of its good work. Hong Kong has unfortunately been badly hit by the prevailing conditions in South China but the Council feels that its appeal is a deserving one and that it will receive the generous support which it has met in the previous year from the Public of this Colony.
