Successful Sélections

Encouraging success attended the first meeting of the season at the Happy Valley course on Saturday when ideal weather, big fields and large attendan.e combined to make this occasion completely enjoyable from every possible angle.

Then, of course, there was the success to those punters who in- vested ten cents in a copy of the "Dally: Press" and followed the Anal selections by "Last Quarter" which, in nine races, registered fourteen dividend-paying ponies

with no fewer than tour Asts in the list. The winners which, were the Daly Press' included in selections were Soldier of Britain. Strathmy.
