MR. JOSEPH'S GENEROUS GIFT

To The New Territories Agricultural Association

BUILDING AT FANLING

to

By the generous gift of Mr. J. E. Joseph, who is well known for his many contributions various charitable institutions, the Associa- tion .s now promised a sultable building for. its offices, educational efforts and other activities expert- mental and practical.

Mr. Joseph has been greatly in- terested nagricultural progress for many years, and finding the Association in need of a suitable headquarters. himself very kindly offered to present a building, and purchased, a site for its erection.

This munificent gift will help forward the work of the Associa- tion very gready, and it is a wel- come encouragement.co those who have patiently persevered in the work otrying to promote co- operation amongst the peasant farmers and to better their lo: life.

This building has been well de- signed and will be an outstanding feature of the landscape on. the New Territory Road where It passes the Fanling Railway Sta- 'tion.

It will be a monument to prove the generosity of one of the public benefactors in this Colony.

The work will be begun as soon as the plans are passed by the Government. (Contributed).

Harold Lloyd's comedy. "The Milky Way" will be shown at the Oriental Theatre, on Sunday, Mon- day and Tuesday. Laughter strews the path of the spectacled comedian in his timid progress from the uneventful fe of a mkman to the pulsing career of a.middleweight fight champion

There is a gorgeously goofy idea in this picture.

The hilarity is unabated. Loyd is cast as a poor sap of a milkman, an obscure fellow scared of his own shadow. seer. at

of her people when the war comes. But the man she loves, and to whom she is pledged, has different ideas on the subject. He is unable to arouse in himself the fire of Patriotism, and his actions precipi- tate a tense and touching dramatic situation that gives life and sig- nificance to the picture.

This catapults Lloyd into fame as a contender, A promoter collars him and puts him into training. He is forced to fight the champ. There is going to be a massacre with the ex-milkman scheduled to be on the receiving end of the punishment.

It would be spoiling the fun to tell you what happens when trem- bling Lloyd, spectacles and all, is shoved into the ring.
