(BY. LONGSHOREMAN), The freight returns. received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday. showed a fairly high tonnage movement, a large pro- portion of which being made up by Japanese ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony wag 8.956 tons. with British tons.

Asiatic deck passengers entering Into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday were 496, of which 369 were from British steamers.
