TO-DAY'S BOWLS MATCHES

The game of lawn bowls is fast becoming onê - of the favourite pastimes of the summer season for both. young and old as is seen by the entries in the leagues and in the open championships. In both spheres new records were arrived at by the number of entries.

The results of last Saturday's games came off very much as ex- pected. Craigengower repeated their earlier success of the season by notching the "second treble" win and incidentally they are the only two teams in the senior division that are still undefeated. Their "A" will have to be up and about in order to ward off the challenge of their "B" team who are doing as well as ever up to the present.

"A" UNRELIABLE The C.C.C. "A" are an unreliable lot. In two weeks they had to thank one rink alone to bring home the two points, and in one -case it was the weakest rink that did it. Such prowess will not last long, and there will come a day when the unexpected will happen. To-day they are pitted against the Civil Service and according to form sould win.

The Civil Servants did well last week to beat the Indians. J. W. Deakin's rink was in the limelight defeating A. O. Madar's four by 19 shots. Adal's four just managed to win, by a shot.

Kowloon

A good game should be seen on the Police green when the nome team entertains the Bowling Green. Both these teams buffered defeats last week and as their ability to play bowls come up to very nearly the same standard the result should be a very close one

K.C.C. DID WELL The K.C.C. had a good win against the Talkoo Docks at Kow- loon. The home team won on" all three rinks and were full value for their win. Fraser's rink was, the most impressive on view. They defeated, Chalmer's rink by 22-11 due to good bowling by all four of their players. Gittins at one time was deadly, Geall was up and down but put in some very good woods at times. Fincher started badly but once he got the green he was on top form. Fraser did all that
