ATTENDS
Yesterday the local German community celebrated the Na- tional Holiday. A series of events marked the day. First at the German Club a reception was given by the German Consul, Herr H. Gipperich, at 12 noon, which was distinguished by the presence of H. E. the Governor. Slr Andrew Caldecott.

At the King's Park Tennis Club a Children's Feast was' stag- ed in the afternoon, and in the evening, again at the city club, a "dinner and dance, with an eloquent address by Herr: M. Hess. local Party Group Leader, ended the day.
